RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 5, 2007) – Serious Robots – a boutique offering creative offline, motion design, and finishing– beefs up its team with new executive producer Leah Welsh. Welsh has relocated to Raleigh, N.C., from Los Angeles, where she most recently served as president and executive producer at Space Division, a commercial post-production company with clients including Jaguar, Jeep, Landrover, AOL, Home Depot, Del Taco and Kohl’s. Prior to her post there, Welsh held positions as EP at ARTiFACT, Inc., and senior producer at Bedlam Editorial. “Serious Robots is experiencing steady growth fueled by our collaborative creative work with agencies, long-form finishing, and our HD expertise,” said Tom Waring, CEO of Trailblazer Studios, the boutique’s parent company. “It was important for us to find the person with the right mix of technical competence, personality and business sense to fill the Serious Robots EP role. Leah rose above all the candidates we interviewed from New York, Miami and Chicago, as well as internationally. She has great chemistry with our editors and artists, and I’m confident our clients will be the beneficiaries.” Welsh has a cinematography degree from the American Film Institute in Hollywood, Calif., and a bachelor’s of arts degree from Occidental College & Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
